It's not always about tables and chairs and pots and pans. Think a little out of the box while making your dining rooms glamorous. Go through all the glamorous dining room snapshots to get an idea of what you want. The features a glamorous dining areas are elongated chandeliers, a lot of glass and a dash of gold. A plain glass table in the middle of the room, with white leather chairs will surely make your dining area look captivating. Use a lot of ceiling down lights, so that the light focuses on the table surface. Do not overdo the lighting, as it can be hurting to the eyes. You can light up monochromatic candles around the dining area to make it classy and chic.
Aged people and those with disabilities might find it difficult to make themselves comfortable sitting at a counter height table, because of the greater height. People who move around in a wheelchair will find it easier to sit on a chair of regular height, as opposed to one that is relatively taller.
In most families, the time spent in the dining room is used to bond with each other, ask the plans for the day ahead, or how had the day been so far. While everyone enjoys the meal along with each other's company, why should the wall be empty and silent? Decorating the primary wall of the room with some creative and eye-catching wall art would make this room a much-coveted corner of the house. You could use framed family photographs, elaborate paintings, murals, or a mounted decorative item made with metal, a mirror perhaps. Just let your wall speak of your hospitality.
During the course of the dinner, it is appropriate to compliment the host and the hostess about the food, service, etc. However, ensure that the compliments are genuine and not just for the sake of it. If you do not like the food or the service, you should not complaint about it. Instead remain silent and thank your hostess sincerely before leaving. Another important thing is to behave politely with the servers or waiters. One must remember that the servers are not your servants and should be treated in a good manner. Do not yell when something goes wrong, and thank them each time after they serve and take out the dishes. While leaving the venue, tip the sever at least 10% of the total bill.
